Following the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee's report to the Politburo seeking permission to develop a pilot mechanism and policy framework for the Van Don Economic Zone, the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has assigned relevant departments to propose specific mechanisms and policies for this economic zone. These include procedures for issuing casino business licenses to strategic investors and streamlined processes for establishing a Free Trade Zone.
Quang Ninh Province is implementing a strategic plan to develop and enhance the quality of its tourism fleet and open Bai Tu Long Bay for tourism activities through 2030. Adjacent to the renowned Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay boasts pristine natural beauty and rich biodiversity, promising to be an attractive new destination for visitors. To effectively manage and develop tourism activities in the area, the province has outlined a series of strategic plans, including improving the quality of tourist boats and infrastructure, and broadly opening Bai Tu Long Bay for exploration.
On October 15, at the International Conference Center (Le Hong Phong, Hanoi), the Vietnam Real Estate Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Ministry of Construction, organized a Dialogue Conference between law-drafting agencies, experts, businesses, and the press to discuss the understanding and application of the Land Law 2024, Housing Law 2023, Real Estate Business Law 2023, and their implementation guidelines in the practical operations of real estate enterprises. Representatives from Everland Group actively participated in the conference as a member enterprise of the Vietnam Real Estate Association.
In the first nine months of 2024, Quang Ninh Province attracted 15.6 million visitors, marking a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2023 and achieving 98.1% of its nine-month growth target. Tourism revenue is estimated at VND 36.856 trillion, up 39% year-on-year, reaching 97.8% of the projected growth scenario.
As part of Quang Ninh Province's efforts to achieve its 2024 tourism target of 19 million visitors—including 15.5 million domestic and 3.5 million international tourists, with total revenue reaching VND 46.46 trillion—the province will introduce two new international flight routes to Van Don International Airport beginning in October 2024.
The robust recovery of Vietnam's tourism sector, coupled with the enactment of new laws, is providing a significant impetus for the resurgence of resort real estate in the latter half of 2024.
